We have been adopted into a family, and we have purpose and direction given by God. The Bible says in Jude 17-23 that we are called to live by faith, to pray, to walk in the love of God, and to endure patiently until we receive ultimate eternal life. We also see our responsibilities to each other: to have mercy on each other, to actively seek salvation for each other, and to pursue complete holiness.
One practical way for us to grow in these things is to join in and commit to studying a book together this summer. Community Groups will be on summer break, and we’ve done our best to organize this study in such a way that it’s easy for you to find a group that works in your schedule.
For nine weeks during the months of June and July, each group will be going through Elyse Fitzpatrick's book "Found In Him". Here's a small intro to the book:
"Everyone has experienced isolation and alienation. We lost more than a nice home when we were banished from Eden. We lost relationship with God and with each other.
But then God did the unthinkable. The Son of God became the Man Christ Jesus: one of us that we might be united to him. In Found in Him, Elyse Fitzpatrick explores the wonder of the incarnation and the glory of our union with Christ, offering us a sure path to ultimate acceptance and true belonging through the power of the gospel."
So any and all women, check out the group locations and times below, sign up through the form, and order your book. If the book doesn’t fit in your budget right now, just let us know and we’ll hook you up. Have questions? Contact Debbie Maclean.
We look forward to having you join us this summer!
