Ethnic Harmony, Global Diversity, and the Glory of God
Dear Redemption City Family,
Our desire is to be part of a radically diverse community of churches in Boston. We want the Spirit of God working among us so powerfully that we see more of his glory in and through a bold, ethnic harmony, one that reveals God’s infinite worth and the power of the gospel in a visual and captivating way.
Ethnic harmony and global diversity are integral to what it means to be explicitly Christian. The Scriptures teach that there are two races—the race of the first Adam and the race of the Last Adam. It is only ‘in Christ’ that we are able to realize this identity. Our different cultures carry individual history, traditions and legacies, but the gospel transcends them and captures them for Christ, making us a new people, the family of God. We continue to value what is good and right in our cultures while gladly submitting to our new family as adopted sons and daughters and co-heirs with Christ Jesus.
Join us tomorrow, as my friend Suresh Kumar will be sharing his testimony and church planting work he is doing among Indian people here in Boston.
Praying for you,
Covenant Members - mark your calendars for our bi-annual meeting on July 19th. We will meet at 1PM after our Sunday Gathering to celebrate God's grace and growth, pray for our church and city, and discuss where we are now and where we are headed. Lunch will be provided. Add it to your calendar and get location details here.
New to Redemption City Church and want to learn more about us? Join us for our Newcomers' Lunch directly following our gathering next week, July 12th. Location info coming soon.
We’re a growing church and are always in need of some helping hands with our Sunday Gathering. Please stop by our “Resource Table” on Sundays or check out our website to find out how you can get involved.
Every Sunday morning, Redemption City Church holds pre-service prayer meetings at 9:45am. Please join us in the hallway next to the auditorium to pray for our church, our city, and our world.
