We Are The Church: Vision Series, Part 1
Dear Redemption City Family,
Theologian Sinclair Ferguson once said, “The church lies at the very center of the eternal purpose of God. It is not a divine afterthought. It is not an accident of history. On the contrary, the church is God’s new community. For His purpose, conceived in a past eternity, being worked out in history, and to be perfected in a future eternity, is not just to save isolated individuals and so perpetuate our loneliness but rather to build His church, that is, to call out of the world a people for His own glory."
Redemption City Church remains a church for both people that love the church and people that dislike, hate or are skeptical of it. We exist to see the fame and deeds of God spread across this city, to make Him known and see His great renewal take place in our time. We dream of a day when many in and around Boston know that believing in Jesus gives new, beautiful shape to their lives.
Over the next two weeks I’ll be unpacking the vision of Redemption City Church and teaching on what it means to be the church in Boston.
I hope you can join us tomorrow.
Praying for you,
