Life Together: A Joyful Community

Dear Redemption City Family,

One of the defining characteristics of a Jesus-centered community is joy! British theologian and pastor Martyn-Lloyd Jones wrote, “Christian people too often seem to be perpetually in the doldrums and too often give this appearance of unhappiness and lack of freedom and absence of joy. There is no question at all, but that this is the main reason why large numbers of people have ceased to be interested in Christianity…In a world where everything has gone astray, we should be standing out as men and women apart, people characterized by a fundamental joy.”

Are you a joyful person?
Are we a joyful community?
How do we experience lasting joy?

One thing is clear: if joy is missing, it’s because something is amiss in our understanding of what Christ has done for us. I hope you join us tomorrow as we learn how we can experience true and lasting joy. Bring a friend!

Christ is All,
Pastor Juan
