Life Together: Shaped in Community
Dear Redemption City Family,
We want change. We need change.
On our own, we are relentlessly self-focused people. This is one of the reasons God gave us community. He uses people to expose our selfishness and sin, to invite us to turn to Christ and believe the gospel. As this happens, the gospel will work its way deeper into our attitudes, motives, words, and actions.
You can change, yet you can’t do this alone. We need one another.
When we begin to see the church community as a means for spiritual formation, we will begin to see every struggle or problem we have in relationships as an opportunity to grow in Christ. Community gives us chances to trust in the promises of the gospel more fully and to rely on God to change our hearts and lives in the way He desires.
God can change you. God can change us.
Join us tomorrow as we continue our "Life Together" teaching series. I hope to see you there. Bring a friend.
Christ is All,
Haley House Soup Kitchen
We are helping the Haley House Soup Kitchen tomorrow from 1:30-5PM as we prepare/serve a meal for the elderly homeless community of the neighborhood. We still have a few spots open to help, so sign up on our website to reserve your spot to help!
Every Sunday morning, Redemption City Church holds pre-service prayer meetings at 9:45am. Please join us in the hallway next to the auditorium to pray for our church, our city, and our world.
We’re a growing church and are always in need of some helping hands with our Sunday Gathering. Please stop by our “Resource Table” on Sundays or check out our website to find out how you can get involved.
If you are new to Redemption City Church and would like the opportunity to chat with Pastor Juan, ask some questions and hear more about the vision of our church, then join us for our Newcomers' Lunch directly following our gathering tomorrow. Meet Juan in the foyer directly after service to be directed to the meeting location. Lunch and drinks will be provided, and the meeting will be finished by 12:30PM.
